European wedding inspiration in your United States wedding.

In this time of COVID, how do you get your dream European wedding while staying in the United States? It’s all about the details! (Isn’t it always?!) Explore with me how to bring European wedding inspiration to your United States wedding.

The venue is the biggest thing one thinks about for a European destination wedding, but what else are factors that go in to the romance and sophistication of that feel? What words come to mind?

Design, simplicity, luxurious, intimate, cozy, colorful? What ever it may be, every single decision of your wedding day can reflect that European charm, even if you can’t make it to your dream spot right now. You can still have your dream feel to your day!

So let’s talk about some key things for your day.

What says European inspired?

The very first thing that makes a statement about your wedding day is your stationary. Go custom! Find a fine art stationary artist to create a one of a kind suite for your guests. You can have your own crest in the stationary, your suite can be hand drawn and addressed. Second, the attire for the day. My personal favorite, grooms with formal shoes and no-show socks. It’s a beautiful thing. Bowties, or no ties – depending on formality of the day. The dress should be couture. Sleek and mesmerizing, or texture and wow factor. Dare to be a little different.

The cake and table top speak to what the feel of your day is. How it all is styled says so much. Colors, textures, arrangements, place settings. One thing that is very on trend for european destination weddings is making it very personal for your guests. So add in custom made personal name plates to their place setting, give them gifts upon arriving.

Add on a couples’ session

Have a pre or post couples session. Your stylist can also style your for this! Find some of the magic in the scenery around the area where your wedding will take place. Go on a boat ride, have an intimate breakfast for two, stroll through the streets and markets. That adds such an incredible element to your wedding story.

The right planner and photographer

Having a planner and stylist to achieve all of this is HUGE!! There is a way they can take everything you want and carefully create things beyond what you have even dreamed! They will be able to perfectly bring that european wedding inspiration you crave to a wedding located anywhere.

And of course, you absolutely have to have a photographer who’s work speaks to you. Work that draws you in. You can have this beautiful, perfect day created, but you have to hire someone who can beautifully and perfectly capture it, as well as you and your spouse in a way that translates your hopes and dreams of the day to film. That is what will bring your wedding day, details, emotions, guests and your love all together for you to remember forever.
