It was a perfect Lake Como Elopement at Villa la Cassinella with A&R. Nevermind that it stormed all morning, that you couldn’t even see in front of you until about 1:30pm because of the dense clouds and fog… that the wrong wedding gown was accidentally packed… it was the perfect day. 

Elopement at Villa la Cassianella

Cassianella’s boat picked me up and transfer me to the villa at 2:00, just about 15 minutes after the rains had stopped, and the thick clouds that blocked all of the Lake’s amazing scenery were parting. By the time we arrived at the villa, we had sunny skies and all of those perfect Lake Como views.

I met A for the first time upon arriving and instantly knew this was my kind of groom. Super laid back, hilarious and madly in love with his bride. These two. I would be photographing them and one would just look at the other and start telling the other how much they loved them. It was such an amazing thing to witness. 

Then he shared the big news – the wrong dress that was packed… which was R’s sister-in-laws. As if watching the The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants come to life, this dress fit two totally different women just as perfectly. So with the wrong dress, but now sunny skies, we started in on an amazing time together.

Lake Como’s Dream Spots for a Dream Couple

We wandered all of the beautiful locations inside Villa la Cassianella and throughout its property. There is absolutely no shortage of perfect spots. For their elopement ceremony, their dear friend and his wife came from Switzerland to preform the ceremony. A ceremony that took place with the backdrop of one of the most scenic areas on Lake Como.

The villa made the most delicious cake for A&R (I can vouch for that as A&R made sure I was served a piece as well!). 

It was such a perfect, beautiful day celebrating with these two. It is always such an honor to be the one to capture these memories for my couples, especially when they are a dream like A&R.
