Amalfi Coast

View of Positano, clear bright blue water and boats on the Amalfi Coast in Italy

The luxury destination of the Amalfi Coast. Where you can see the ‘who’s-who’ of the world. What do you need to know before you go?

Driving on the Amalfi Coast

Most important – arrange all transportation by boat, not car. Parking is alllll over the sides of the winding roads leading in to and away from each town. There are a few public parking areas that only cost around 10-20 euro, but they are usually someone’s personal garage and only will house a few cars.

Boats are the best way to experience the Amalfi Coast. After all, its the coast line that is so breathtakingly beautiful! The warm sea breeze and sun will keep you feeling refreshed and excited for every second of the views you will be taking in.

The Amalfi Coast is known for many things, one being their beaches. Going to the popular beaches is definitely something everyone should do. However, the coast has so many more secluded beaches that are not overpopulated that you can relax and feel somewhat away from it all. (For those of you that are like us and want to pretend the beach is exclusively for us) Some can be a little bit of a trek to get to, but worth it! If you decide to go to a more popular beach, make sure to make reservations well in advance. A month in advance at minimum. Sun chairs and umbrellas cost at all of the beaches as well. Ranging from $50-$500 or more, depending on where you sit. You can also add on experiences to your beaching reservation. Food and drink delivered straight to you!

One can not visit the Amalfi Coast without tasting the Limoncello! This is where it all originated from. That delicious after dinner – or honestly, anytime – drink. They also make all kinds of delicious candies with it too.
