A Lake Como Proposal

I always love my job, but there are certain times I just love my job. This day with these two was one of those later times. 

We started our day meeting at Villa Balbianello. Josh knew this was the location Ella had dreamt of for the marriage proposal, and he made it so. As hard as it is to find a secluded spot at the villa and its gardens, we were able to find a place where it felt completely isolated from the rest of the world. Josh led Ella up the pathway, stopped, turned, and read her words upon words of his love for her. All with Lake Como showing itself off in the background. 

As they hugged and kissed after Ella said yes, the audience that had congregated to watch broke in to applause. We wandered the grounds of the villa for some ‘freshly engaged’ photos before we parted ways to meet up later for their official engagement photos.

A Lake Como Engagement

Josh and Ella had chosen one of Lake Como’s five star luxury hotels – Passalacqua for their stay and the backdrop of their engagement session. We started with a classic boat ride. The sun, the lake, the boat and the couple all shined with beauty and romance. Then we wandered around the Passalacqua grounds which offered the perfect backdrop in every direction. The staff there even set up a private outdoor movie theatre for Josh and Ella, it was magical. 

It was the perfect Lake Como proposal and engagement day with such a wonderful couple and Ella’s mother too! Even when the weather threatened to put a ‘damper’ on the day, we kept going and that little bit of drizzle passed and just gave a little drama to the sky for the photos.

Congratulations Josh & Ella, you two are a beautiful couple inside and out and it was an absolute honor to be the one to capture this day for you!
