Italian Lifestyle

Reflections of the beauty and every day life of Italy.

A wonderous walk

Oliva

One of my favorite rows of trees.
Cypress trees have forever been one of my favorite visually. I love photographs that can lead you further in to the space you are looking.
This also happens to be a road at one of my favorite vineyards in Tuscany.

Benches are a place to sit, relax, take in the sites, and converse. One can find them all over in villages. They are great reminders to slow down and enjoy life.

Olives. Amazing for the outside and inside of the body, and a must have oil with any meal. Olives are harvested every fall and the scent is overwhelmingly enjoyable. Olive oil only lasts for a matter of months, after which it loses its best flavor. Yet another reason to sit with friend and family over fresh baked bread, cheese and olive oil more often.

Every morning starts with finding a favorite café and ordering a hot chocolate and espresso. Then, I combine! The hot chocolate in Italy is thick and velvety. It has a way of soothing all emotions as the espresso awakens.

Wine to be

Vintage books

Of course the first two things people think of when hearing Italy are the countryside and the wine. I absolutely love being in Tuscany at harvest time. The grapes are so plump and vibrant, the process is fascinating to watch, the smells are intoxicating and this photos reminds me of the taste I love so much.

So much of why I love Italy comes from the lifestyle they lead. Walking everywhere, taking time and being present where you are at, enjoying the company of others, an appreciation for preserving the older things. I loved the look and feel of these books immediately when I saw them. The monochromatic just allows the texture and character come to life.
