Southern Charm and Hospitality in Austin, TX

“Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

We had hoped that our first wedding of 2019 in Austin, TX would provide us with a warm  start to the year, but the cold weather followed us all the way from Illinois and made for a cooler than expected day. Jason and Felicia more than made up for it with their kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. As we stopped in at the rehearsal dinner the night before, even though we had only ever FaceTimed, it was like reconnecting with our dear friends. These two are so welcoming and hospitable, and made us feel like we were a part of the family. Harvey also made a few friends, and even walked away with his first pair of genuine Texas cowboy boots courtesy of this amazing AMP couple  🙂

The wedding day was so wonderful, and the first look set the tone as these two both beamed with excitement. There was no containing the smiles, the laughter, and the genuine love as Jason and Felicia took each other in for the first time on their wedding day.

The stunning and historic Caswell House in downtown Austin was the perfect setting for Felicia and Jason to say I do. It was elegant and classic, and Jason and Felicia filled it with warmth and a lot of southern hospitality to ensure that their special day was special for everyone. Their wedding day was filled with love for each other and thoughtfulness and generosity toward others. The band helped to set the tone for a true celebration and the room was filled with smiles, laughter, dancing, and new memories.

As great as the band was, the musical highlight of the day was when the Jason stepped up to the microphone and sang to his bride. Everyone looked on intently as Jason and Felicia lovingly gazed toward each other. The words he sang and the love that was expressed didn’t leave a dry eye in the house.

After a lively but chilly sendoff, we left for the capital with the new husband and wife, and had such a wonderful time during their portrait session at the capital. Even though it was cold, we had so much fun, and the day was capped off with drinks and charcuterie board together back at the hotel. Perfect ending to an unforgettable day!

Jason & Felicia,

We are so grateful that we could be a part of your story and capture your special day. The love, kindness, and generosity that you show toward others is inspiring and our lives are richer now because we know you. We are so honored that we could be a part of your wedding day, and it is our absolute privilege to now call you friends. You two are incredible, and we hope for nothing but the best for you and your family in the days ahead!
